Aloha’s Redundancy feature offers seamless transaction processing and back office reporting throughout the occasional equipment outage! No other POS system provides this critical detail without the need for expensive additional hardware. Here’s how it works:
- All POS workstations are in constant communication with the file server and each other.
- If that communication is disrupted, Aloha’s redundancy initiates on the Master POS workstation prompting the user for a passcode to start redundancy.
- When the code is entered, the Master POS workstation in effect becomes the file server and complete operation is restored, in just a few seconds.
- When the interrupted communication is restored, all of the transaction data is updated and synchronized, resulting in seamless reporting.
